Doraeli is the doll that got me back into the hobby after my break. Her adorable smile reminded me of the doll who was my grail at the time - Volks Ami Ayase. But Chelses was smaller and came in tan colors! Or... so I thought. I could have picked tan, but I thought coffee kind of sounded like a light tan. It's really not. Myou coffee is like a neutral-toned NS, she's even lighter than one of my NS dolls. Don't get me wrong - it's a nice color! I have neutral toned light skin and she kinda matches me, which is cool. But if you are expecting a tan doll, go for the color called tan and not coffee.
I love everything about her face, including her company make. Her body, while aesthetically beautiful, is an engineering flop. After almost 20 years in the hobby, it inspired me to try wiring and sueding for the first time. After sueding, she is much more obedient and happy girl. Yesterday the Wandering Princess outfit by La Luna that I preordered finally arrived! This outfit was planned for Minthana to wear, but she's looking so cute in her PSYCHO LAB Psychiatric Hospital One-piece set. So Doraeli gets to be the Wandering Princess for now ^^

It's time to do my first ever dolly breakdown. I'm always grateful to those who share such things about their dolls because it helps so much when you're shopping for a new doll. You always want to make sure they are right for you and know what you are in for when they arrive.
Here's a turnaround of my little egghead. For some reason, her head and body colors look pretty different in my photos, but I think this must be an effect of her sealant texture reflecting light differently. I don't notice this under normal indoor lighting conditions, so I don't even think it's sealant yellowing.
This body has a slim look, but her chest circumference is quite big. She has the round type of breasts that look like she's wearing a bra in most clothes, though thinner clothes can look odd without an actual dolly bra due to prominent nipples, take note if that bothers you. Take care that clothes you get for her are adjustable, stretchy, or will measure to fit over her full chest (18cm). I love how long that her torso looks, because it's different from my other dolls. Even though it looks long, I think it's because it's thin and shouldn't cause you any issues clothes shopping; I had her in a MDD-L leotard for a while that was not stretchy. Her arms and legs are a bit noodly for my taste, but that's a personal preference. Her feet are narrow and won't fit normal MSD shoes, maybe stuffed boots would work. I'll update this when I find a pair of shoes that fit.
A close-up of her cute torso. The sculpting is just my style, it evokes a sense of softness without being hyperrealistic. Her torso and arms posing are no trouble for me. Double joints are easy to engage and hold their position. The upper torso can twist and tilt in all directions and is pretty stable in most of them without kips or sueding. Her head mobility is average, she can tilt left right and down, but not much tilting her chin up. Her hands are separated from wrist balls and there is no one-touch system, so you'll need to hold the elastic with something while you change her hands (I use a crochet hook). Myou sends wrist balls with their optional hands.
The engineering woes are from the hip-balls and down her legs. Out of the box, her legs collapsed in nearly every pose, and she could not even be supported by her saddle stand. Her stringing was not loose, nor exactly kicky-tight, but these hip balls just provide no grip at all, so her legs recoiled at the slightest touch. A little hot glue sueding saved the day, and I wired them too for a little extra stability. Without this, she will neither stand or sit up for you, except for exactly this position:
For whatever reason dolls with double jointed knees can't resist sitting on their ankles. After her medical treatments, here is her sitting posture. You have to engage the joint at the bust in order to sit her up without support:
And of course, she is stable on her stand now as shown in the previous pics! She can also stand unsupported, but she's not particularly balanced so I keep her on her stand.
EDIT: I was just chatting with some owners of Myou v2 and v3 bodies. For the first time, I met actually 3 owners of these bodies who said their bodies had no trouble with the legs! I thought it was something wrong with all of the dolls, because everyone I had spoken previously complained of the same issues as mine. So, there is a chance that your doll might not have this issue at all! No idea, what makes the difference, but these people who had no issues with standing also owned the 3-part torso. So if you're on the fence, maybe try out the 3-part, it maybe more stable.
She cannot sit suwarikko due to the shape of her thighs joint. It has a curved shape that, when you try to swivel the leg and sit her down, will come into contact with the upper hip socket preventing the position.
All the fuss aside, she's a lovely little thing. I'm so happy to see her smiling face each day and night. By the way, she wears this Msiredoll wig and these lunipochan glass eyes as her main wig and eyes.
